For Gabi’s 13th birthday, all she wanted was pictures taken by us! She wasn’t celebrating a bat mitzvah, but just wanted photos in a casual outfit to show off who she is now. I encourage every girl (& boy) to document who they are at every age. Especially to bring out the confidence within them. Gabi started off shy, but ended up rocking this session. She looked so cute in her ripped jeans + simple white tee. We loved doing the shoot at Wynwood, and even got to take a couple shots in front of a cool vintage car that happened to be parked in front of one of Gabi’s favorite walls. We love when we get lucky! XO
There’s no age that shouldn’t be photographed. Every parent takes pictures of their babies for their newborn session and one year (& sometimes in between), but then time takes over and we forget to capture them in their growing years. Ahmad is such a cutie. He’s two years old and is in his wild stage. Two- the age of running around and discovering just how your legs work, the fussy attitude & belly laughs for the simplest things. Who wouldn’t want to remember such a yummy time? Just like most two year old boys, Ahmad loves playing with cars and blowing bubbles. We just wanted to show off who he is now, with his many faces, gorgeous eyes, and beautiful smile.
What a wedding! We could not help but smile the entire time! From her custom made dress, to his white tux, everything was just perfect! Their Gatsby themed wedding was as if you traveled back in time. The floral designs were exquisite with dripping diamonds, the gold linens, the flapper pouring champagne… It was breathtaking! The beautiful Boca Raton Resort was a perfect location to enhance their vision! It’s almost as if it’s meant to be set back in the 20′s.
We can’t forget to mention how they are with each other! When Lawrence + Andrea are together, it is as if no one else is around. They only have eyes for each other. They have had a long distance kinda love, since Lawrence is an NFL player with the Baltimore Ravens, there are times when they are apart. However, the saying stands true with them… Absence makes the hear grow fonder, and fonder, and fonder! These two are inseparable, brought together by a love unrivaled!
Congratulations Andread + Lawrence! xo.
After shooting Nadya + Alex’s wedding, we knew it was special. Not just because of all the amazing decor, the confetti guns, the entertainment, the flowers, the fireworks, the floating ceremony, the LED robot, the guest DJ… Although that all was special, too. But it was special because you KNEW how much they loved each other! The way Alex looks at Nadya is with such admiration, it’s the sweetest thing ever! So, when Modern Luxury Brides decided to publish their love story, we were ecstatic! Because, they saw it, too!

When we first were contracted for Stephanie and Alison’s party, we were so excited after hearing about their party details. Secret Garden was the theme, which is a perfect theme for a fifteen year old girl. The usual Secret Garden theme is soft, with romantic colors, but the twins didn’t want your average Secret Garden styled party. Wendy, from Event Factory Group, designed the party with vibrant colors surrounding the whole room. The girls are fun, and love loud colors, so Wendy was able to perfectly mix in the Secret Garden theme with what the girls wanted. It almost felt as if it was a Secret Garden meets Betsey Johnson feel. Everywhere we would turn, there would be something new we would see. From the different centerpieces, to the dessert table, to the cake… there was so much detail that transformed the Jungle Island Ballroom to a magical Secret Garden fairytale. If the decor wasn’t enough to set this party apart, the entertainment definitely was something to talk about. Not only did they have an African band come in and get the party started, but they also had a killer DJ, DJ Kaos, and MC Doug, who really brought the party to life. If that’s still not enough, they had an Hora Loca with people on stilts, passing out fun party gear to all the teens + a percussionist who let the twins come up on stage and rock out on his drum set. We’ve never seen so much liveliness in one room, in one night. Stephanie and Alison had an amazing night that everyone will remember! To see their amazing portrait session, CLICK HERE!
It still amazes us how a couple can transform a popular wedding venue and make it their own. Jordan and Ryan managed to make Vizcaya look and feel different. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is definitely one of our favorite wedding venues. For photographers, it’s a fun day at the playground each time we shoot there. This time, however, the overall feel was surprisingly different. Nothing changed at Vizcaya. There were no new gardens or new statues, but what did change was the couple. Jordan and Ryan seemed to give Vizcaya a new look. I would describe their wedding as a romantic Victorian garden wedding. The bride wore a Claire Pettibone wedding gown. The gown itself brought a feel of vintage. Jordan’s dress looked as if it was a heirloom. She chose vintage gold mirrors instead of bridesmaids’ bouquets. It was so unique and something we had never personally seen before. The florals and linens all seemed to compliment the romantic Victorian feel. Jordan and Ryan’s courtship also seemed to replicate something out of an old romance novel. Ryan was so sweet. He would casually place a kiss on the Jordan’s forehead. They were a dream to photograph. XO
When Cristina and Dennis first arrived, they seemed to be nervous. Naturally, it took a little while for them to warm up to the camera. We always love to insist on engagement sessions for this reason. On your wedding day, there’s no time to be nervous in front of the camera! So, the engagement session (or practice run), is always so helpful. As you can see, Cristina and Dennis ended up coming across so relaxed. We were able to capture the natural chemistry between them. There were a lot of giggles, and sweet moments between these two. We can’t wait for their wedding day. XO
We love a teen with a great sense of style! Annelise surprised us with all of her outfit choices. She managed to find everything that we had envisioned for her shoot. During our initial meeting, we spoke about the different concepts and put together some images to inspire her. She somehow managed to nail each concept perfectly. On so many different occasions, we have met with a teen, come up with an idea, and then it doesn’t work out because they couldn’t find the clothes. Thankfully, Annelise pulled it off. We loved all of her looks. The photographs really demonstrate how much work went into this photo shoot. A special thank you to Wendy from Event Factory Group (Annelise’s event coordinator) for helping with the styling and helping us put this amazing photo shoot together. We can’t wait for her party! XO
Annette and Carlos dated for ten years, and finally decided to tie the knot. We love when a couple has known each other for so long because the chemistry really shows. You can really tell these two are best friends. What better way to celebrate your love than around 350 of your closest family and friends.. Lol. Their ceremony was at the beautiful St. Mary’s Catholic Church. We then went to the Perez Art Museum Miami for their reception. It was the first time we shot a wedding there. What a breathtaking view. You really feel as though you’re in the center of Miami. Annette had the idea of taking pictures in front of the “Western Sun,” the only artwork that you are allowed to take pictures with in the building. The outcome was spectacular. For having so many guests, the general crowd was young. Everyone was having a blast. It was the first time we had seen a Fireball Whiskey handle being handed around with the GoPro camera on it, capturing each person’s face as they took a chug. Even the bride got in on the action. Annette and Carlos had smiles on their faces the entire day. This was one of the most fun parties we had ever been to! XO
