Sadhana was up for anything! We did the safe shots first, then she couldn’t resist the beach. If you have never been to Vero Beach, it’s absolutely beautiful. The sand is soft and the water inviting. And, it was the perfect backdrop for Sadhana’s senior pictures! Don’t you think?
Many times, life passes us by, and we blink and our kids are going off to college. And, that’s exactly the situation that David found himself in. Nick (who was one of our seniors that past year) is now going off to Georgetown University. And, they haven’t had a family portrait done since before Ali was born! So, it’s way past time for that. And, Tillman is a big part of the family. He made sure to be the center of attention, and posed for me as if he was the main subject!
Sitting across the Flat Iron Lounge in NYC, Simon sees Aimee walk in. He’s introduced to her by Vanessa, a mutual friend. “We hit it off immediately… even if aided by a few gin and tonics!” Aimee says.
The proposal is one for the books. Simon conspires with Aimee’s best friend, and man of honor, Jonathan to help him get Aimee to Paris for a getaway. And, when Aimee arrives at her hotel, she opens the door to her room, and Simon is on the balcony with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. “You know, people always ask me why I’ve never been to Paris before,” he said to her. “It’s because I never met the right girl to take…” Swoon!!!
Their wedding took place in Miami Beach. We started the day at the W Hotel South Beach, where both Aimee and Simon got ready for their big day. Aimee’s room was full of laughter, tears and more laughter! Aimee’s gift to Simon was a very unique one, I must admit. It was a custom painting with lots of little hidden clues… Their ceremony was an emotional one, as Aimee and Simon say their vows. The reception had even more tears, as Aimee’s father delivered a heartfelt toast. Not a dry eye in the room. Their first dance began the party, and they danced with all their family and friends, who all came from all parts of the world. From Canada, to England, and even from across the country. Just a spectacular event. If it is any indication of their relationship, it will be a marriage full of love & laughter.

Hector and Gloria are expecting their first and I was so excited to shoot their bump. The location was Key Biscayne and the style that we were going for was a Bohemia feel. I have known Hector for a long time, and I was thrilled when I found out they had a baby bump! And, then, to see him so happy during the shoot was amazing. It was good times chasing peacocks up and down the park and not to mention the kitties that wanted to join in on the photo shoot. It was always fun with Hector around, and I can see nothing has changed. He always made us all laugh. But, I can’t wait to meet baby Zoe!!!
The Cannon’s were a ton of fun! Instantly, when I met them, we all clicked. They were on vacation in Vero Beach, and wanted to capture the essence of their vacation. And, of course get some amazing family portraits. Capturing real moments of them playing frisbee, flying the kite, and running around in the water. My absolute favorite is the last picture. Since they were having so much fun, I suggested them getting in the water. And, they jumped at the thought! And, as soon as they got down, a big wave hit, and that moment is absolutely priceless!
Baby Lilliana was too cute for words. At only 2 weeks old, she was acting like a baby of about 2 months! She kept following my camera, holding my gaze, trying to talk to me, and flaying her arms and legs like if she was swimming away! It was so hilarious, that both mom and I just kept laughing in disbelief. She is a little miracle, as delivery was a little hard on her. But, you couldn’t tell! She is active and beautiful, and already full of personality. I can’t wait to capture her as she continues to grow! Because I caught such tender moments between her and mom and dad, I look forward to many more to come!
So this was a shoot full of surprises, a few hiccups and a whole lot of fun!!! Lenora is such a doll! She has a natural beauty about her and it took all two minutes for her personality to shine. Beautiful inside and out, recipe for awesomeness! Always from the very first click, I begin to work up my subject’s confidence, I want them to feel beautiful. I love the moment that a client can stop over analyzing my direction and just let their guard down. I can now capture THEM! With Lenora, it just got better and better. She was a complete natural in front of the camera. I seriously had a hard time putting down my camera. Just take a look at a few of my faves from the shoot and surely you will understand.
Ana + Armando were destined from the time they were kids. They attended the same school for middle school, attending sister Catholic schools in high school, and they even attended FIU and both majored in Communications, but their paths didn’t cross. Until… They met on Match.com. After dating for 6 months, Armando proposed. He got down on one knee and everything! He even recorded the whole thing!
The wedding day was amazing, to say the least. Although it rained, it totally brought them good luck (as the old wives’ tale goes). She looked stunning in her La Sposa dress from J Del Olmo. It was totally meant for her! And, I know when Armando first saw her walk down the aisle, he was blown away. The reception started off with a sparkler entrance, as they had their first dance as husband and wife. Then, some loud cheers began, “La la la la la”, and belly dancers came out and did an amazing performance. Ana (being a belly dancer herself) had everyone on their feet, and the party did not stop as everyone joined in!

Love this family and I love that I got to photograph the newest addition! Daphne and her family are so easy to work with. We have had plenty of photo sessions in the past and she is always so trusting and open minded when it comes to my ideas. So I seized the opportunity and planned baby Alexis’ first photo shoot with a new prop and idea. I think when Daphne saw me with these flowers, she might have second guessed me for a second. But, I quickly showed her the back of my camera and she loved what she saw! The cherry blossoms in the background are going to match her nursery perfectly!. Alexis was a perfect angel, not a peep came out of her mouth. She was so calm even when she was awakened by little brother, Mikey. These two are sooo lucky, they have two beautiful and sweet kids! Can’t wait to continue to capture this family as they grow!
What a lucky baby. CJ has two of the sweetest people as parents. We fell in love with them from day one. We photographed their engagement session and wedding and now their beautiful sweet little boy. CJ behaved so well and had a sense of calmness about him that I quickly recognized, the apple indeed does not fall to far from the tree. Lourdes and Juan are already amazing parents. I was so impressed that they kept their cool and handled a little fussiness so easily and calmly. I love that I was able to capture yet another stage in their lives that will be never forgotten, always cherished through these photographs. I can’t wait to see CJ become a little hero just like his daddy!
