We have such an amazing friendship with the vendors we work with, and one of those special vendors we adore is Isa Amazega. Isa is the owner and talent behind Makeup and the City. We recently got together with her for coffee and came up with amazing ideas. One of those amazing ideas was to collaborate on a concept similar to what Glamour Shots did in the 80’s. Although, now we look back at those dramatic black feather boas glamour shots and think “Eek! What were we thinking!) You have to admit the concept was great. As women, we love to be pampered and to feel beautiful; so who wouldn’t want to get glamorized and have professional photographs taken! The idea was to take the glamour shot concept and put a more natural spin on it, no boas and a new name- Glam Shoot! Take a look at the results from this collaboration. We are so proud of the outcome. We love the idea of empowering women and enhancing their beauty. A Glam Shoot is simple and tasteful, its something that every woman should experience. We also were very lucky to have two gorgeous and successful woman as models for the shoot. Both Rosy and Marianne are beautiful inside and out. They both are successful business women who do it all and do it well. Isa did makeup and hair for these two ladies, creating different looks that were equally beautiful. I also love that Rosy and Marianne chose clothing that made the photographs perfect for use as headshots for their profession if needed. Overall, we love Glam Shoots and can’t wait to do it again!!!!

I have to admit, I felt kinda guilty. Every year, I take pictures for our holiday cards. Every single year. Except this one. And, truth be told, we were so busy that I barely had time to shop for Christmas and pack for our 10 day road trip to the West Virginia mountains to ski and play in the snow. So, before I knew it, I didn’t have holiday cards. And, I was so bummed. So, on our trip, I decided I was going to photograph my bunch if it was the last thing I did. And, it literally was the last thing I did on the trip! On our way home, we stopped in Charleston, South Carolina for the day. So I jumped at the chance to find a good spot for pictures. And, Battery Park was the perfect backdrop! The large trees and gorgeous scenery was truly breathtaking. And, being the little models, my kids allowed me to photograph them in their true form. I got smiles, grins, giggles and even some sassy attitude. So, now, I don’t feel guilty. I feel it was fate. Xoxo-Susie

We absolutely love taking post wedding pictures. For those who are not familiar with this idea, it’s pretty clever. After the wedding, the bride gets back in her wedding dress and takes photographs that are unique and that could not have been possible to take the day of your wedding. Some call this idea a “Trash The Dress” Session, but we feel it’s misleading. Although some choose to jump into the ocean with their wedding dress, you don’t necessarily have to. When Stephanie and David booked their post wedding shoot with us, they were pretty open to ideas. After sharing some ideas and inspirational photographs via Pinterest, it seemed that a southern ranch perfectly matched their style. So, lucky for me, I stumbled upon Blue Stallion Farm. It was the perfect setting for this shoot. In fact, the clients were more interested in learning about the animals than taking pictures… LOL. Being animal lovers and appreciating the farm life, we made sure to capture lots of photographs incorporating just that. I loved how this styled shoot completely reflects this couple’s interest and loves, that really is so important.

The Masi Family was so fun to photograph. From the moment we decided we were going to do a photoshoot, Jessica came out with amazing ideas for the session. We love when a client really follows through with all the little details. When you put so much effort into a shoot, the results always seem to be amazing. The teepee, Audrey’s moccasins, Audrey’s headpiece.. everything was just perfect. Take a look for yourself. XO

We’ve been shooting the Chaves family for a while now and they truly have a soft spot in our hearts! Every holiday, we have the pleasure of coming up with different concepts for them. I really love that Zuly wore a beautiful red dress that contrasted with the greenery. This backdrop was beyond gorgeous. The small chapel with vines on it, the horses, the sunset.. so beautiful. We hope to do another shoot here soon!

Another fabulous holiday session, but this one had a little Ralph Lauren inspiration. We’ve done sessions for this family for over 3 years now, and every year we come up with options that are even better than the last. And, this one by far is my favorite! We also had a four-legged guest join in on the fun at the end of the shoot! And he almost stole the show!

The Castellano Family has been apart of the PS Family since Rosy was first pregnant with Victoria. We’ve already known Victoria for well over 2 years and it has been an unbelievable ride to watch her grow. The last time we photographed V, she had just turned two and was still a little shy. This time around, Victoria’s true personality really came through. We were able to capture bigger laughs and greater love for Mommy and Daddy than we had ever seen before. We were back and forth with a few different concepts, and had to take a step back to think who the Castellano family is and what would fit them best. Considering their love for fashion, and being the owners of Chiffino, the concept we came up with can not have matched them better. The idea was a day of Christmas Shopping in New York City. Lucky for us, the weather that day in Miami fit the look perfectly…the one day in November where it was actually below 75 degrees! We even thought it would be a special moment for Rosy and Eladio to give Victoria a special gift. Eladio was so excited to give Victoria her first Tiffany necklace. Another thing that makes this session so exciting, is that it is our debut for video. We’ve been branching out with video for a while now and decided to surprise Rosy and Eladio with the unforgettable memory of Victoria and their amazing family session. We were able to tie the photography and video together to create such a beautiful moment for this amazing family. PS Photography is now offering PORTRAIT VIDEO as a service… How exciting! We hope you love this session as much as we do. Happy Holidays! Don’t forget to press PLAY!!!

Is there a secret to throwing an amazingly fun wedding? We’re not sure, but if there is, Vanessa and Alex can share it with you. This wedding was one of the most fun we have ever documented. Seriously, from the beginning of the day to the end, it was awesome. When we walked into Alex’s room, he had a huge afro wig on and was drinking whiskey out of a thermos labeled “Groom.” Vanessa’s room was filled with a bunch of family, friends, and kids, creating a feeling of happiness and excitement. Everyone invited to the wedding (about 300 guests) showed up to party, and we absolutely loved it! The energy on the dance floor was high from beginning to end. The climax had to be when Alex surprised Vanessa with The Spazmatics, an 80′s style cover band that they had seen while spending their first New Year’s Eve together. Vanessa left the ballroom to get a quick change of look and re-entered with the band jamming on the stage. From that point on we didn’t see the couple leave the dance floor (unless it was to grab a quick shot). Vanessa even jumped off the stage and flew into the crowd, being the first bride we’ve ever seen body surf at their own wedding! So much fun! We loved every minute of it.
