{Bria} Miami meets Paris Part One | Miami Teen Photography

This shoot was one for the books for many reasons… The most obvious reason is this gorgeous lady is the offspring of Birdman (aka the #1 Stunna). Yep that’s right, we were hired by Birdman to take pictures of his daughter Bria, who is turning the big 16. Lucky for us Bria was a dream to work with and made our job very easy! Another reason that this session was oh so special was because it was the first shoot that involved a stylist. What an amazing experience we all had, including Bria of course. We make it a priority to help style each photo shoot with a concept and tons of ideas. However, this time around we suggested the concepts and ideas, and the stylist made the wardrobe match perfectly. It could be overwhelming to shop for a perfect outfit to match a vision, but having a stylist to do that job for you is so convenient. The results were over the top amazing. Bria is very trendy, but in a very unexpected way. She chose pieces that were glamorous and paired them with her everyday style. For example, take notice on the shoes she chose. When I mentioned heels during our meeting, she cringed! I love that she wore sneakers instead. The shoot was unique also because it was the first teen shoot to involve a famous dad, a stylist, a dog, security guards, and a dressing room on wheels (we love the Mercedes Sprinter!). The sprinter just added to the experience. Bria’s photo shoot consisted of three concepts/locations/wardrobe changes, so having the sprinter as a dressing room was the best idea ever. Bria was able to dress and change hair and makeup inside the van, rather than a close by restaurant bathroom. The sprinter and stylist were very convenient, but more impressive is the experience Bria had. It was a day of total pampering and fun, it’s exactly what every teenage girl should be able to experience once or twice. Sooooooo after collaborating with some of the best in this business, we are hoping we will be offering this exact experience to all our clients. We are over the top excited to be offering styling as part of the photo shoot experience, this new addition is going to make our images even more spectacular! Check out part one of Bria’s shoot. Her party is Paris themed, so why not throw a Vespa into the mix? XO

Love seeing our work published, and Borrowed & Bleu loved our work enough to publish us, not just once, but twice in a week! Pinch me, please! Joanna + Jimmy’s session has been one of my faves! Loved that we had to be spontaneous and change our plans when Mother Nature was super upset, but truth be told, this session turned out sooooo much better that it rained!

copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net | Engagment SessionSara Beth and Dillon’s love story is so amazing! They went to school together and even went to prom together! And, now, they are back together, where they belong! They love the water, so naturally, their engagement session was surrounded by it! As far as he can remember, Dillon was on a boat. And, one of his favorite areas was down one of the waterways off the Indian River Lagoon. It was a narrow area, where the Oak Trees and moss canopied over us, it was breathtaking! Loved it!

I can think of many reasons why we love to photograph teens… On the top of the list is the pre-planning phase of the shoot. This process is where we bond with our girls. I think it’s a big part of why our images stand out compared to other photographers in Miami. It can be overwhelming to come up with an outfit, let alone three or four outfits. We make it part of our job to help style the shoot, making each client’s shoot unique to them. After meeting with them, she and her parents were inspired & ready to go shopping. The result was perfect. We had a photoshoot that showed off Megan’s fashionista side, her love for the sand & water, and her fab 15s dress! The photographs from the photo shoot were kept in a vault until after her incredibly fun birthday event. The event was designed and executed by Jessica Masi and her amazing team. The party included cool details including an out of control Hora Loca. Take a look for yourselves! XO

Love it when one of our amazing weddings gets published, and Borrowed and Bleu is one of my fave blogs! Randi and Mark’s wedding was so dreamy… Honestly, I was floored how stunning she looked. The venue for this wedding, The Brazilian Court, truly was the perfect backdrop to their nuptials! Can’t get enough of their pictures! To see the feature, CLICK HERE. And, to see their original blog post on our blog, CLICK HERE. Enjoy!

PS Thank you so much Borrowed and Bleu!

Picture a beautiful sunset on a lake… This was the backdrop of Michelle and Kyle’s wedding.  Surrounded by family and close friends (plus their beyond cute pup!), made this wedding very intimate.  There were so many great things about this wedding! A couple of our favorites include the bride and groom’s classy attire, the chandelier hung in the ceremony pavilion, the bridesmaids’ necklaces, and the beautiful sun setting while they said their nuptials.  The sunset made a gorgeous glow over the ceremony, and we were able to play with the light and make some really creative photographs.  The wedding took place in a location we have never photographed before. We love walking into a new venue and taking advantage of new surroundings.  Our fave spot was the rod iron entrance gates to the country club.  You can see how much we loved it in these pictures. Not only did we photograph Michelle’s gorgeous dress as it hung off of it, but then we did some unexpected portraits of the lovely couple, too!  There is something special about small destination weddings. There is a feeling of intimacy, but the party doesn’t stop!  Loved photographing this couple and this venue.Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net Copyright: PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net

{Image of the Week} Juno Beach Pier | Palm Beach Photography

Categories: Ramblings of a photographer Tags: + + + + + +
01.27.2014

Sunrises are something that I rarely see.  I am a night owl, working sometimes past 1am.  So, the thought of getting up before the sun is quite foreign.  But, recently we were commissioned by the Palm Beach International Airport to photograph different Palm Beach landmarks to display in their baggage claim area.  And, one of them being the Juno Beach Pier.  And, of course, the morning we decided to shoot was one of the first days of the Polar Vortex!  30 degrees on the beach, we looked like we were going skiing!  But, we stayed warm enough that we could set up the camera and capture one of the most amazing skies I have ever seen.  The colors almost seemed surreal, the peaches, oranges and pinks were on a color scale I have rarely seen.  It was worth waking up before dawn and freezing on the beach.  I honestly would do it again.  Not anytime soon, but I would again.  copyright PS Studios | www.PSstudios.net | www.PSphotography.net | sunrise over Palm Beach

Let’s just say Kendall is as spunky as they come. Taking a glance at just one of these photographs will just make you smile. Kendall not only insisted on wearing the tutu and hot pink shades, but her dolly had to be in all the pictures, too! The only way we were able to take some pictures without Dolly was by staging a fake diaper change for her. I am still laughing thinking of all the fuss we made about the stinky smell that Dolly made…”PEEEE UUUUU! What is that smell!” Needless to say we had lots of laughs during the shoot. Kendall is such a sweetheart and super entertaining. I was so happy to see that the photographs I snapped showcased Kendall’s fabulous and super spunky personality!

{Olivia} All About Me Session | Miami Family Photography

Olivia came to the shoot on a mission– to not take any pictures. This was completely unexpected considering she’s a 3 year old who loves to be photographed! Last time I did a family session with her, Olivia was only 1, so as you can imagine, my excitement to see this family was sky-high! It may have been my overenthusiastic energy when they first arrived– or maybe it was the extra long car ride considering they totally got lost when trying to find my secret field!– but Olivia was not having it. My goal was to turn her sour puss face to the happy Olivia that I remembered. Luckily, while I was waiting for them to arrive, I spotted a cocoon… And so we began to explore for the raccoon (pronounced by Olivia) to get her warmed up to me again. The exploration for this mysterious cocoon led itself to some gorgeous natural photographs. Before I knew it, Olivia had a smile on her face. Especially when she found the cocoon aka racooon. We even ended the shoot with a fun bike ride on her cool pink ride. The photo shoot started with a frown and unfortunately ended with one after Olivia had a little slip and fall– but the in between was well worth it! Nothing makes me more sad than ending a shoot with a cutie getting hurt… But, I received a text from mommy saying Olivia missed me and was trying to shout through the window, “Bye Patty, it was nice to meet you!” as she was leaving. Melts my heart! Those are the moments that make me realize how lucky I am to be doing this as my job!
