This was such a fun and inspiring shoot! Justin Barnett from Mark’s at the Pointe Salon asked me to photograph his favorite model, Meagan.  He needed these pictures to enter them into a Spokesmodel Search.  All of the stylists at Mark’s at the Pointe Salon were invited to join, and the winning stylist will help as creative director for the year!  And, of course, Justin won!  Meagan made a fabulous model.  And, she photographs so amazing…  Do you recognize her?  This is her second shoot with PS!  But, get used to seeing her…  Our shoot will be featured in Vero Beach Magazine!!!  Yeah!

So, I’ve decided, Justin Barnett is a styling genius. His hair skills are so unique and finished… Just A-MAZ-ING! I love working with him (we’ve been collaborating on a few projects) and I can’t wait to schedule more!!! Meagan is a dream to shoot. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but so down to earth and will do just about anything to get a good photo… Even endure swarms of bird-sized mosquitos in the middle of abandoned fields. Love her!

It's all in the details...

So, this past weekend I went to Amelia Island on the East Coast of Florida.  I was amazed at the natural beauty and amazing scenery!  I could not stop shooting pictures.  And, when I sat down to edit them, again, I could not stop!  I want to print them all and put them up on my walls!  The lighting was spectacular, and the feel of  the photos are deep and serene at the same time…  I just wanted to share them with you!  Hope you like!!! —Susie

I have decided I have too much open wall space in my home. I am an artist which means my art should be displayed in every nook and cranie, but why do I find it so hard to commit. In the foyer of my home I have not one single wall design, I just can’t seem to make a decision on what to put on the wall. Beyond no doubt I want to put one of my photographs, but which one. So I sat down in front of the computer about 3 hours ago promising myself not to get up from this chair until I chose a photograph. So I did! I call it “i heart coffee”. It was taken during one of our travels to Italy although I am embarrassed to say it but I have no idea where. I remember the cafe, I remember the large crowd of people and I remember sitting at the bar about to take a sip of this cappuccino when my husband lunges at the cup and stops me to point out this not so perfect but still perfect heart shaped foam. “Oh my god…how cool my coffee has a heart in it!” My husband the cynical one continues to say that the barista probably has the skill to make that heart for every customer he serves but I continue to believe I just got lucky. Any one who knows me knows I am a big time coffee drinker. So I sent it to print and I can’t wait to display it in my home.

Fine Art at a wedding?

As we get our creative juices flowing during weddings, we always concentrate on the obvious.  The bride and groom, the guests, the wedding details… And, we truly get fantastic shots of those!  But, we are now trying to take our creativity beyond the obvious.  We are now challenging ourselves to try to take a photo and make it into Fine Art.  Something that maybe that bride and groom may want to hang in their home as art, and it have special meaning since it was shot at their wedding.  Just as an example, at Dalia and Oren’s wedding, we created a fabulous image from the detail of the temple wall.  It is lined with the Star of David in a unique pattern that caught our attention, and it is truly a work of art in it’s own right.  After the night was done and guests went home, we shot cars zooming past the temple on the streets of Miami Beach, and the results were amazing!  Very eclectic, I think.

If you are interested in purchasing any fine art print from this wedding or any other wedding, please feel free to contact us.  These images are also posted on our wedding website.

As we got home on Satuday evening, I looked up at the sky, and what I saw was truly amazing!  The colors of pinks, purples and oranges lit up the sky as if in a postcard.  As I grabbed my camera, I ran to an open field across the street and crossed my fingers that the clouds would remain as if painted in the sky.  And, they did!  The result: these fabulous images that I am definitely going to turn into canvas prints to hang in my house!  And, I wanted to share them with you…
