Many times, life passes us by, and we blink and our kids are going off to college. And, that’s exactly the situation that David found himself in. Nick (who was one of our seniors that past year) is now going off to Georgetown University. And, they haven’t had a family portrait done since before Ali was born! So, it’s way past time for that. And, Tillman is a big part of the family. He made sure to be the center of attention, and posed for me as if he was the main subject!

They were on vacation in Vero Beach, and wanted to capture the essence of their vacation. And, of course get some amazing family portraits. Capturing real moments of them playing frisbee, flying the kite, and running around in the water. My absolute favorite is the last picture. Since they were having so much fun, I suggested them getting in the water. And, they jumped at the thought! And, as soon as they got down, a big wave hit, and that moment is absolutely priceless!

Categories: Kids + Family Tags: Deering EstateA family photograph is sometimes rare and its sad to think that when years go by and you sit down to flip through your “box of memories”, there will be gaps thru time. Some families are the opposite. They make it a point to capture moments as a family, freeze time so that in the future you can reflect on it. Well, Amalina is one of those smarties. She makes it a point to take a photograph as a family professionally once a year and PS was chosen for 2011. So, having a client that takes family photographs often, I knew I needed to do some research. After a meeting with Amalina, we came up with a plan so that this session would stand out amongst the rest; different and unique. The location of the shoot was the historical landmark, Deering Estate. The wardrobe inspiration came from a dress that Amalina had bought for her daughter, and the colors yellow and blue were thrown in to add some vibrancy. Well, a lot of preparation seemed to have paid off! Amalina ordered a Gicleé Book so that she can truly cherish this moment for always. The album was just delivered to our studio, and I will be sure to share some photographs of it before I hand it off to Amalina…
{Wolk Family} Meet Hudson|Family Photography
Categories: Kids + FamilySo I really had to think on this one. This is the fourth time we photograph the Wolk family. We have known this couple since 2007 and it feels so amazing to have the opportunity to photograph them time and time again. The special occasion this time around was Hudson! Hudson has blue gorgeous eyes just like big sister, Lily, and he was such a doll during the shoot. I had the privilege to photograph them while on vacation this time. So, instead of Miami we met them in Naples, Florida. They wanted a natural, lifestyle photo shoot and so that’s what they got. Beautiful images that captured true moments! Thank you Alicia and Tyler for keeping PS in mind even if you moved across the country, I can’t wait for your next visit to Florida!

We photographed their engagement session, wedding, Natalie’s birth, and every year since then! And, we can’t get enough of their gorgeous family. So this year for their shoot, we decided to change things up. We chose the railroad museum as the perfect backdrop to our vintage inspired shoot. We also had some fun and filled up the vintage luggage with some accessories. Natlie loved modeling all the accessories for the camera dn she got a big kick out of it when I asked her to put her crown on daddy! (I think everyone got a kick out of it!)
{Daniela + Nicolas} Sibling Session
Categories: Kids + FamilyWe are in the business of taking pictures and we LOVE our job! These two cutie patooties make our job so much fun! What do you get when you put two kids in a room full of 75 balloons? You guessed it! FUN! Daniela and Nicolas have the cutest dimples and the cutest smiles. I had a crazy idea of inflating 75 balloons and I knew these two would do the session justice. During the session we played a game of what I call simon says posing. Now for all you moms out there always having trouble taking pictures of their own kids take notes. I told the kids that they had to do the same posing as mommy and daddy and they took the game serious. “Nick give a kiss to your sister on the cheek” he did it. “Nick give a balloon to your sister” he did it. “Nick and Daniella jump up and down like monkeys” they did it. Like I said this shoot was a fun one. To all our fans have a FUN and Happy Valentine’s Day!
{My Boys} “Brotherly Love” Session

Categories: Kids + Family Tags: Family PhoCan not say enough nice things about this family! From the minute I spoke to Tonya, she was so pleasant and easy going. The shoot was done at the clients’ home, which always is a plus for me. It gives me an opportunity to add personal touches to the shoot by using the room décor, furniture, and personal props. Well, as soon as I walked in I noticed an antique trunk and as I approached it Tonya began telling me the story about the trunk. It turns out that the trunk once belonged to her great aunt and the photograph that is on the inside of the trunk is her great aunt as a little girl. Naturally we needed to incorporate the piece in the shoot!

She was a total model with the perfect wardrobe and the cutest accessories. During the shoot it became noticed that she loved my studio light and would follow it with her eyes. She is super alert and curious, she not only loved my light but we put her underneath the fan and she was mesmerized. She has so much personality for a baby and I totally captured it!
