Hannah rocked her dress… Oh yes she did. She decided to give her husband an anniversary gift he will be sure never to forget. I tend to drive around sometimes, just looking for locations that are out of the norm, and when I stumbled upon this location, I knew I hit a gold mine! Her delicate JCrew Wedding dress was a perfect contrast to the urban feel of the backdrop. And, yes, he loved them!
I have NEVER dealt with a client that was so easy going and so trusting like Alaisha. She not only was open to location suggestions but she also totally kept her cool when it rained the day of the session and we had to make a last minute switch in location. “I just want beautiful photographs it doesn’t matter where”, so I chose Deering Estate because of its historical setting and the option of being indoors. The day turned out beautiful and literally the rain clouds disappeared as soon as we started to shoot. So Alaisha and Alex were able to get a variety of photographs, indoor and outdoor.
My absolute favorite image is the last one. When I was taking this photograph I knew the lighting was amazing which is key but as I started to play with her veil over her eyes I got really excited, to me this small detail is what made this image go from a beautiful image to an AMAZING image. I tried playing with this image a bit in photo shop but at the end I just ended up converting it to black and white. I am such a sucker for classic black and white images. I love the drama and I love the composition (Alaisha’s placement on the far right of the photograph). So now you know what my favorite image is but whats important to me are what our fans thoughts are, so don’t be shy and leave a comment. We want to know what images make YOU pause and stare.
These two I am sure by now you recognize. We posted recently their sexy and fun art gallery engagement session and then their posh stylish wedding. Well they did a Rock the Dress Session too! Of course this was no ordinary RTD session, with Megan and Stuart you just don’t get ordinary. So if you haven’t noticed what made this RTD session so different I will give you a hint its white and its as big as a horse. Kelsey, is Megan’s pride and joy. Megan not only rides horses for a living but is a trainer. Kelsey and Megan as a team won many competitions and she believes that it was her horse Kelsey that made her career. Now that Kelsey is retired, Megan wanted to cherish his memory forever so we included him on the RTD session.
What a fun session! I always love it when a bride gets back into her dress to take some fun shots! And the result is just stunning! The bride is not worried about getting her dress dirty or damaged while getting the perfect shot. As you can see, we even get down and dirty! Crystal and Kelly were awesome! They didn’t even hesitate to get on the floor (which was sooooo worth it).

You may or maynot recognize Nicole and Danny. We photographed this couple and their two beautiful children, see below. This was a first for us, we photographed a family session and Trash the Dress Session with the same client on the same day in the same location. Unfortunately with the sun going down we were pressed for time so it tuned out to be a mini Trash the Dress Session. But we shot these amazing photographs in 20 min., seriously it may been 15 minutes. Nicole and Danny worked the camera and I think they came out fabulous.
This couple had the best idea ever when they decided to go crazy and do a Trash the Dress Session. They had an intimate wedding ceremony on a cruise and the photos from the cruise ship were beautiful but they wanted more. They wanted to “let go”, go crazy and have fun! This couple had complete trust in our work and vision. So our vision led us to Palm Beach where there was inspiration at every corner. The location fit the couple as well, the dress and flower in the hair for some reason just looked perfect against the European feel of the session. By the end of the session Daniel and Cinnamon were striking poses without a peep from me, and to think that Cinnamon was nervous to do the session – PLLEASSEE. She was a complete natural in front of the camera. I really had a hard time choosing my favs but here they are:
