Another teen shoot on the blog! But this one may stand out since it had some extras involved, including a stylist. I get extra excited to show off teen shoots that involve our stylist option. I wake up the day of the shoot feeling like its my birthday! (LOL seriousy though). I absolutely adore teen shoots, I love everything about them. I love them so much that I spend hours some nights searching for ideas and inspiration in magazines and on Pinterest. My clients love my ideas especially the unique and crazy ones. But once they start shopping they quickly realize how difficult it is to put it all together on their own. It may be because they couldn’t find the right outfit or the right accessories, or sometimes it just gets so expensive that it is out of their shopping budget; whatever the reason it just means we need to come up with a simpler and easier idea in most cases, which can compromise the look. Our teen collections that include a personal stylist for the day never run into this problem. We come up with the wardrobe idea and concept and with a swirl of her magic wand Jenna (our stylist) makes it all come together. Ashley’s photo shoot was put together super quick but nevertheless we were able to create some amazing looks and ideas for her. Ashley is a teen that doesn’t follow the trend but likes to set it. She was open to ideas and helped us showcase her individual personality. As cool as Ashley is, we needed to create something special and unique. We started the shoot with a clean romantic and bright look in her quince dress. We used a green house with paper flowers adorning the walls and a wooden swing hanging on a tree (loved how we incorporated pink ribbons for a whimsical look). We ended the photo shoot with the complete polar opposite from her first look. Ashley was excited about this grunge look. We got the inspiration from a Mary Kate and Ashley editorial shoot that was taken on a roof top. We added smoky eyes and painted strands of Ashley;s hair pink and blue for an ultra cool look. The first look and second look were my favorites but I have to admit the inbetween looks were close to follow. Ashley’s quince party theme is Paris so we incorporated the travel theme into the second look. Our stylist did an amazing job with the accessories and props, bringing an editorial look to the shoot. Ashley also had the idea of incorporating her best friends in one of the shoots and so we included them in her boho beach shoot. It was exactly what we needed to capture Ashley’s goofy and crazy fun personality. We never saw this side of Ashley until her friends showed up, its great to see that her friends brought out a fun and silly side of Ashley. Not one but all the shoots had a boost of uniqueness and it was thanks to our stylist, Jenna. She has the ability to make a crazy and unique vision come to life.
