I’m not going to lie… it’s pretty awesome when a client gives us complete freedom to come up with a photo shoot concept and wardrobe. The words “yes” and “I love it” came out of Iala’s mouth during the entire planning process. We began with the idea of doing an elegant cream colored dress at a field, however everything changed when Iala found this red dress. The dress was everything! She even resisted sending me the picture as she was trying it on in the fitting room, and I am so happy she trusted her instincts and shared the pic. Needless to say, we both loved the red dress. Red is such an unexpected color to wear for a maternity dress which made me love the idea more. I completely changed the shoot concept and location to match the red dress, and Iala once again was happy with all the ideas and changes. It’s so nice to have a client give carte Blanche, but it’s also so nice for a client to think outside the box and trust her own sense of style. This maternity shoot is one for the books. I am so proud of how it all unfolded. I am obsessed with the red dress even more now that I have seen the final product. I am so happy that I changed the location to a secret location filled with greenery. The red and green complimented each other so well. The colors are rich, and the photographs are romantic and interesting. Love love love this shoot!
