A few months ago we launched our “Princess Shoots” and the feedback we have received has been amazing. So many of our clients fell in love with our Princess Shoots that we decided to create a concept just for the boys. Introducing our “Rebel Shoots”. We hope you love the concept!

{Falero Family} Holiday Shoot | Miami In-Studio Photography

This in-studio concept we designed is perfect for Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year cards. Most of our clients make it a yearly tradition to not only have the family photographed but also to mail out Holiday cards to friends and family. This is a great tradition to have however for some its difficult to find the time to put it all together. This in-studio concept is a perfect option for our busy clients. It is an indoor shoot which means no rescheduling due to weather and it also means you can do the shoot as late as 7pm. The black and white theme of the shoot is also super easy to find outfits to match. We hope to repeat this again next year, till then Happy New Year.

I have to admit, I felt kinda guilty. Every year, I take pictures for our holiday cards. Every single year. Except this one. And, truth be told, we were so busy that I barely had time to shop for Christmas and pack for our 10 day road trip to the West Virginia mountains to ski and play in the snow. So, before I knew it, I didn’t have holiday cards. And, I was so bummed. So, on our trip, I decided I was going to photograph my bunch if it was the last thing I did. And, it literally was the last thing I did on the trip! On our way home, we stopped in Charleston, South Carolina for the day. So I jumped at the chance to find a good spot for pictures. And, Battery Park was the perfect backdrop! The large trees and gorgeous scenery was truly breathtaking. And, being the little models, my kids allowed me to photograph them in their true form. I got smiles, grins, giggles and even some sassy attitude. So, now, I don’t feel guilty. I feel it was fate. Xoxo-Susie

{Image of the Week} My Two Front Teeth

Recently, a client mentioned that they want pictures done of their kids before they start losing their teeth. At first, I agreed. Of course, you want them to have all their teeth in the pictures. Aesthetically, it looks perfect. Hair is in place, clothes are clean, and all their teeth are where they are supposed to be. But, then I started to think… When my kids lost their teeth, they were so proud. It’s almost a coming of age moment! A war scar. They lost their first tooth! That means the Tooth Fairy will be visiting them that night. I remember their excitement and how anxious they were to look under their pillow to see what the mystical winged lady brought for them. How important is that for them! I guess, my mind has changed. How can you NOT document that momentous moment? Years later, when they look back and see those pictures, they will remember… It was important to them, so it was important to you. There is really no perfect time to photograph your family, there is only right now.

{Esquivel Girls} Miami Holiday Session

Holidays are here! Our favorite but most busiest time of year! I’m very excited to show off this session of the Esquivel girls. Their mom styled the shoot and I showed up with a smile on my face. The girls’ outfits were trendy and different! Just shows that a little effort can go a long way. It’s easy to play it safe, but this family chose a different direction in outfit choices and I think it paid off!

Happy Birthday Erin! I was so smitten with Erin this time around. I have done a few shoots this last year of her but she is now one and she is yummier than ever! The shoot was not only celebrating Erin turning the big one, but also Erin will be a big sister soon! We did this shoot at a neighborhood park close to their so I met them at their house so that we can leave together to the park. Well lucky for me when I got there they were running behind schedule so I got to feed Erin her bottle and read a few books with her, oh sweetness. She is just the sweetest baby, she wanted me to hold her and play with her the whole time. I even helped dress her. My boys are 2 and 5 already so I found myself missing this stage, oh how time flies. Needless to say I had a great time spending time with this family. We ended the session with a little fun. I had this idea of putting Erin in a tin tub with bubbles, and a rubber ducky. I am so happy that Katie went with the idea and helped put it all together because Erin full of bubbles is just way to much to even handle, take a look for yourself. This is the first time trying out this bubble bath concept but I am thinking it may be a request from clients after they take a peek of these pictures. Note to self remember to bring a thermos of hot water to add to the bath, poor Erin was freezing.

{Blakely Family} Miami Family Photography | Lifestyle Photography

A rainy, ugly day in Miami did not stop this mom from completing her mission! Geraldine had no intentions of postponing a family shoot any longer. She has been longing to take professional photographs of her family of four for the longest and made it a priority. No rain, or lack of outfits would get in the way.
Before arriving to the shoot, I already made up my mind that I liked her, LOL. As I approached the house, I found myself in a seriously funny comedic movie where the mom is literally juggling her kids and 50 other things. I quickly get out of my car and help her with the 10 bags in her hands. She then is putting shoes on Connor and holding baby Kyle all at the same time (supermom for real). And of course, as this is all happening the rain starts gushing and JP’s lego tower decides to fall over and crumble on the sidewalk, which is followed by JP’s wails. Well, we all ran into the house and I looked at Geraldine and she just has a smile and starts laughing….I knew I was right, totally like this woman. What Geraldine and I planned was to do a lifestyle shoot. PS’s fresh and raw approach to lifestyle shoots have quickly become popular. It’s all about real life, real moments, creating memories; no fussiness no props… just everything that makes your family a family. So what began with a few shots of baby Kyle on the bed evolved into a tickle fight then jumping on the bed. As you can imagine, everyone including mom and dad had a blast- having fun and creating memories with the ones that are most important to them. I can picture this family looking through these photographs 15 years from now and sharing laughs and tears reminiscing on this day… and isn’t that what photography is all about?copyright PS Photograph | www.PSphotography.net

Parker’s session was so much fun. His personality is amazing, he smiled the entire time, such a happy baby. It could be that he sees me so often! This is Parker’s 3rd session (not including the baby bump session where he technically was there). For this shoot, I wanted to incorporate a barn like feel, and found the perfect spot! And, just in time, because they started construction on that street right after the shoot. Parker played the perfect farm boy with his adorable suspenders and contagious laugh…  Can’t wait for the next one!

Let’s just say that at this shoot, I had my work cut out for me!  For starters, this was the family’s first family shoot ever.  Talk about pressure!  I knew I would have to pull out some tricks from my magic hat.  Oh and let me not forget to mention that the shoot had to be on a particular Friday at 5:30pm because the family was only here for 24 hours before they left back to their home in New York.  So the date was set, time set, outfits picked, location chosen, and of course it rains…. all day- Welcome to Miami!  So plan B it was…the train museum.  I love it when the back up plan works out better than the original plan!  Two boys at a train station- what could be better!  We were able to do get some ridiculously cute photographs of the family!  The boys had a blast as you can plainly see!copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net copyright PS Photography | www.PSphotography.net
