Come rain or shine, Charlene and Chris were determined to have their engagement session photographed. The weather has been so unpredictable lately here in South Florida, so rather than playing the rescheduling game, this couple decided to just go with the flow and trust that it will all work out. Of course it did work out. The rain drizzled on, but it didn’t damper our mood. We had a great time and got great pictures. There was a smile on Charlene’s face when it stopped drizzling and when the rain came again there still was a smile on her face. The spot for this couples modern and sexy shoot was the Design District and we ended the evening shooting at Miami’s attractive cityscape. My favorite pictures were the night time cityscape pictures, the dark gloomy clouds made an interesting sky. Charlene ended the night by saying “I had no doubt that it was all going to work out tonight” and Chris followed with a chuckle. I love all my clients but I especially love when they are so easy going and trusting as these two. I can already tell that their wedding day is going to be the best day of their life and nothing or no one will get in their way, just as it should be.

With the forecast of 50% chance of rain its hard to know what to expect in Miami. The shoot had to go on rain or shine, Alex and Nesma travleled a few hours to take photographs in Miami so we did! Luckily they chose one of my favorite hotels in Miami, The Viceroy, we were able to sneak a few pictures in the beautiful residential lobby and off we went with our fingers crossed to the design district. This wall is a new find for us! (One of our very cool and “in the know” past brides, Jenny Herrera, told us about this colorful wall and we could not wait to give it a try.) This couple loved the wall as much as we did and we got some killer shots, thanks Jenny! Being a destination wedding, it was so nice to spend some time with Alex and Nesma and get to know them. After speaking with Alex several times on the phone, I was anxious to get to know Nesma. Well, not only is Nesma a pretty girl with great style, she is also so cool and down to earth. She kept smiles and laughters on all our faces, I seriously had a blast shooting this couple and I can’t wait for their Vero Beach wedding next month!

“I’m so nervous!” was Brenda’s first words to me.  But, you couldn’t tell from the looks of these pictures!  Her and Gianni have an amazing chemistry, and they are so cute together!   Usually, it takes the couple a few shots (pictures! not liquor people!  Lol.  But, sometimes, it may be needed.)  But, one of the first pictures I shot is going to be the cover of their guest sign in book at their wedding later this month.  That’s how not nervous they looked.  We actually were crazy enough to try downtown Miami for this shoot, during Art Basel!  But, I am so glad we did!  We were able to shoot in front of a graffiti wall that was just finished by an amazing artist, and we even got to go into an art gallery to shoot!  What luck I tell you.  All in all, I cannot wait for their wedding!  It’s going to be FAB!
