Grace Ormonde featured one of our favorite images on her blog today.  And, it’s truly exciting!  This picture of Orla + Andrew’s Wedding is one of the most tender moments.  His hand caressing her back, kissing her shoulder…  Just so intimate.  It’s a true testament of how much they love each other…

Well, here’s what Grace said…

STOLEN MOMENTS

When we are reviewing submissions we see everything: some good, some bad. You would be amazed. And as we go through everything we start selecting our cakes, tabletops and feature weddings for the next issue, what is a good fit for the online inspiration galleries, what would be great on the blog, and so forth.

When I came across this image by Patty Gonzalez and Susie Canino ofPS Photography, I loved the fact that we are able to secretly steal a glimpse of Orla and Andrew’s private moment from their wedding atCosta d’Este Beach Resort in Vero Beach last April. Like peeking through a keyhole, I adore the uninvited, but unobtrusive intimacy of this image and knew I had to share this tender moment with you.

PS Photography

We wish you years and years of happiness Orla and Andrew and thank you Patty and Susie for letting us share your beautiful photography with our viewers.

Gorgeous.  That’s the word that comes to my mind when I want to describe Louise + Andrew’s wedding.  From beginning to end, just gorgeous.

We walked into the room, and it was so calm.  Louise was getting her make up touched up before she slipped into her dress.  And, her dress is a one of a kind.  A close family friend custom designed it for her, and it was amazing!  After putting on her Jimmy Choo’s, we took a few minutes to take some beautiful pictures of her and her bridesmaids.  We then walked across the street to Andrew.  It was a drastic difference from the calm of the girls.  Andrew and his friends were having a few beers, hanging out, laughing and talking about good times.  I mean, what a group!  They even got  Andrew on a chair and lifted him up in the air!

Windsor’s Chapel is just breathtaking.  It’s so organic and light.  And as the large doors opened and light spilled onto the chapel floor, Andrew’s heart skipped a beat.  The ceremony was very sweet, and then they rode off in a wedding golf cart!  How cute was that!!!  We took some amazing portraits of them in the Oak lined entrance of Windsor Club, and then (in our own golf cart!!!) drove across to the Beach Club and had more time there.

This happened to be one of THE coldest days!!!  So, the Beach Club was freezing as you can imagine.  The tent sheltered us all from the freezing winds, but added such a beautiful ambiance to the reception with lights, candles and orchids.  The party was non-stop.  It was hard not to put down the camera and jump right into the dancing!  The night ended with Louise changing into her “getaway” dress and a sparkler send off.

Louise + Andrew, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and precious moments.  Love, the PS girls.

Karen was worried… it was forecasted to be 40% chance of rain.  But, as time moved on, and the clouds went off shore, it turned out to be… breathtaking.  But, once she put on her Vera Wang dress, anxiety was relieved.  She was going to marry the love of her life.  And, Colby was just as excited!  As he waited for her at the end of the aisle, the look in his eyes spoke a thousand words…  The ceremony was so sweet, with the sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the shore and the string quartet playing, it was a dream wedding.  The party was awesome!  I don’t think that Colby + Karen sat down!  They danced all night alongside their family and friends!

Karen + Colby, we wish you a life long love that will keep you dancing!  Xoxo, the girls from PS

Brian + Gayle are so adorable.  And, I am not just saying that, they really are.  From the moment we met about a year back, it was instant:  I knew we were the photographers for them.  She had so many plans, and details, that I was in heaven.  From the custom made bridesmaids’ hairpieces (that she made herself), to the “Flash Mob Dance” for the reception…  I was almost as excited as they were!  So, naturally, when their wedding finally arrived, we stocked up on coffee and began shooting an amazing wedding.  She got beautified at a local salon, Triveni, where she and her bridesmaids had the salon all to themselves!  It was so nice!  They helped Gayle get into her gorgeous Priscilla of Boston gown and her Badgley Mishka shoes.  The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Helen’s Catholic Church.  It was a traditional Catholic ceremony with Phillipino traditions to celebrate Gayle’s heritage.  After the ceremony, we had an entire afternoon with Gayle + Brian, and the entire bridal party!  What to do with this crazy bunch!  We did it all…  Beach, downtown, piggy back rides, you name it!  And, once we arrived at the reception at Grand Harbor Golf Club, they broke out into a Flash Mob Dance!  It was insane!  And, they partied all night long, literally!  What a wedding!

Gayle + Brian, may your marriage be full of spontaneity and excitement always!  Love, the girls from PS

COME DISCOVER LOVE, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FL

Discover Love 2010 was a huge success.  Vero Beach and the surrounding areas are beautiful, and we wanted to show it off as a hot spot for destination weddings.  It’s a “beach town with luxury”.  You walk down Ocean Drive and you can find couture clothing, shop for custom jewelry or sip on coffee beach side.  It truly is a great experience.  And, 40 of the top planners were able to agree.

From the moment they checked into Costa d’Este Beach Resort, Vero Beach Hotel and Spa or Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, they were pampered.  Transportation was provided by Magic Carpet Ride, and they whisked the planners to Vero Beach Hotel and Spa for the “Welcome Reception”.  As steele drums played, the planners were able to network with the areas wedding vendors, and get to know what this “Hidden Gem” is all about.  They then visited Capt Hiram’s Sand Bar for some live music and great food.  The riverside restaurant was a perfect spot to end the evening.

Day Two began with breakfast at Mulligans on the beach.  With the warm sun and the ocean breeze, the planners were mesmerized with the beauty that our beaches have to offer.  They were then given a Indian River Lagoon Tour, thanks to Capt Hiram’s and the River Queen.  It was a perfect day.

We all have to admit, that lunch at Costa d’Este Beach Resort was amazing.  Not only was the food provided by the chefs at Costa d’Este delish, but the decor was to die for.  Andres from Mystique Flowers truly made my jaw drop.  His designs are always so clean and beautiful, true art.

Dom Perignon provided all the champagne in celebration of the launch of their new wedding collection.  And, I have to say, who doesn’t love a little Dom!

Susan Moynihan, editor in chief of Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine spoke on the trends of destination weddings.  Not surprisingly, destination weddings in Florida is on the rise.  It was interesting to hear the statistics and her perception on the wedding industry.

And, Grace Ormonde took a detour from her treck all over the country for her book’s release to do a private book signing for us.  Her new book, “Being in love never goes out of style” has been such a success, and we have a signed copy!  It was such an honor to meet her, and to hear her advices and encouragement.  For those of you who don’t know, she is like a celebrity in the wedding world.  Her magazine, “Wedding Style Magazine” is a must read.  And her book is no different.  It boasts of amazing photographs and details that leave you breathless.  More so than a book, it is a collection of art.

We then went to McKee Botanical Gardens to show the planners that Vero Beach also has beautiful tropical locations that are not beachside.  The gardens boast of gorgeous, lush greenery perfect for the romantic “green” bride wanting a more organic look.  Mckee has such history that is so amazing.  From having the largest solid piece of Mahogany as a table, to their rare plant life.

The day ended with a bit of a bang… Lighting, that is.  The Event Firm, along with Frostings, set up poolside at Costa d’Este Beach Resort, only to be surprised by a rain storm.  We were able to snap a few photos of their amazing displays, which was amazing.  The tablescapes were so modern, which played on the modern feel of Costa d’Este.  And, the rain came down; but, they pulled off a miracle along with the help of many of the guest planners and the party continued in the Crystal Room with music by DJ Sarli.  We all danced the night away!  (Thanks, DJ Sarli for keeping us out of our seats and dancing till the last song!)

(By the way, these are delicious chocolate cigars, yum.)

The last day was concluded at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort with guest speaker, Rebecca Grinnals.  She motivated the planners and it was a perfect ending to an amazing 3 days.

To wrap up the event, only one word can describe it: unforgettable.  The friendships that were made, the memorable experiences, and the lasting words of the guest speakers…  Unforgettable.

Special thanks to the following vendors for the countless hours of planning and their invaluable participation…  (Especially Alba, from Costa d’Este Beach Resort, who made her vision a reality.)

When I met Andrew + Orla, I knew instantly that this was going to be an amazing wedding. With their Irish accents, they explained their excitement and ideas for their wedding.  The ceremony and reception took place at Costa d’ Este.  I know its going to be a great wedding when I hear its at Costa d’ Este.  The hotel gave the wedding a private and intimate feel which is so difficult to find especially with a beach hotel.  And, Andres from Mystique Flowers pulled off their dream wedding.  From the bamboo draped chuppah (with a modern twist) to her exquisite bouquet, everywhere you looked was beautiful.  Even the skies were amazing with the richest of blues and the sun shining down on the ceremony.  All in all this wedding was truly a celebration of Andrew + Orla’s love…  And, to quote Orla, they looked “a wee bit sexy”.  Don’t you think?
